Since 7th August 2024, with the help of wonderful volunteers from The Book Club, Beeston and the generosity of local people, The Book Place has given away just over 700 books. From a market stall and pop-up shop in The Beeston Social. It is now ready for the next phase.on High St
I am asking for your help, please. A PENNY, A PAGE. I want to open a bookshop on Beeston High Street for the month of December (some of November, if I can fundraise quick enough) Like the market stall am popup shop, it will be a not for profit bookshop, giving away children's books, all profits will buy more books for children, for Christmas, who may not be able to afford their own.
If you would be so very kind and I know things are more difficult at this time of the year but I do hope you can help. I ask that you grab the latest book you are reading or have read or a magazine or a newspaper and donate A PENNY, A PAGE.
