Childhood hero - Paddington Bear.

Updated: Sep 22, 2020

Daily musings of a book addict. Thursday 10th September 2020. 16:07

Throwback Thursday today and I have been thinking about my childhood reading days and my childhood hero - Paddington Bear. I was all Paddington Bear. I had the cover and pillowcase on my bed, all the books, the pictures, I had a sign stuck on my door that said Paddington's room, which I couldn't remove when we moved. I remember being about 6 or 7 and my family had gone to London for the day and my Mum & Dad had promised me a trip to the Paddington shop, so exciting, unfortunately, it was closed, as it was a bank holiday. How upset was I? Peering through the window in a shop, like some poor Dickensian child looking in a sweet shop. I have still never been to see the Paddington shop but have read the books again, such lovely stories.

Happy Reading Kirsty
