Reading books in order.

Starting this book today, No One Home - Tim Weaver. It is the tenth in the series and I have only read the first. I usually like to read things in order, they are stand-alone stories but with the same main protagonist and it refers back to previous events, which is why I generally like to read books in order. My brother gave me this one, hence why I don't have the others. I will see how I get on, I may of course have to go back and buy the other 9 in between. Now wouldn't that be a shame?. Any excuse to buy books I know you can relate, haha.
